CONNECTING TO EMAIL POP/SMTP PROBLEMS
Some people may have been having trouble checking mail, such as a redundant Outlook prompt continually asking for the password. This is due to spammer activity abusing the system, and it has been necessary to take countermeasures .

To use your mail, you need to check the box that says "My SMTP server requires authorization" in your mail client. Instructions are below:

To enable SMTP AUTH (SMTP Authorization): Outlook Express 1) Select 'Tools' -> 'Accounts' from the menu 2) Highlight your account 3) Click on the "Servers" tab 4) Check the box that says "My Server Requires Authentication" for the "Outgoing Mailserver" 5) Click "Settings" and ensure "Same as Incoming" is selected. Eudora: 1) Select 'Tools' -> 'Options' from the menu 2) Select "Sending Mail" 3) Check "Allow Authentication"

It is NOT necessary to perform a "POP before SMTP authorization," as was previously the case. The SMTP authorization outlined above is all that is required.

WEBMAIL INTERFACE
Don't forget you can access your email from the convenient WebMail Interface, powered by the @Mail Web Interface. You can use this to check your mail on the go or help you diagnose mail problems. It has been reported that the "Spell Check" feature of the WebMail does not work correctly, and can cause you to lose your message. Use the "Spell Check" feature with caution. NOTE: Please regularly download your email using your POP client (ie. Outlook, Eudora) to ensure that you have a copy for your archives. It is NOT recommended that you exclusively use the WebMail. We cannot be responsible for the archiving of email or addressbooks stored in the WebMail interface, and it is provided as an extra service for your convenience only.
